Hypnosis: What is it ?
Welcome to your first step as you teach
yourself to focus for wellness
.
Hypnosis is not, as some people think, a form of sleep. Hypnosis is an
altered state of consciousness in which the subject is both alert and
aware, and in full control of his or her own words and actions at all times.

The human brain receives messages from several sources. One source is
the external environment, which sends messages that deal with everyday
items, such as family, employment, weather, relationships and our
everyday surroundings.

Our own bodies provide another source of information concerning our
tensions, movements, pain or discomfort and other related matters. A
third source is the conscious mind, which receives and holds, neither
accepting or rejecting, all message units received from our religious,
social and genetic backgrounds, plus conflicts that enter our
consciousness.
It holds imprints from life experiences and relationships, which effect our personalities. It also holds
memories, and some claim, these include information from past life experiences. Hypnosis is a means
of by-passing the conscious mind with its argumentative nature and directly contacting the
subconscious mind, where attitude, behavior and other modifications can be achieved. The experience
is quite enjoyably relaxing and effective.

The secret power of Hypnosis is that when your body is relaxed and your thoughts are stilled, your
mind is receptive. With Hypnosis you can begin to implant strong mental suggestions that will be
beneficial to you. The beauty of this method is that you are in complete control, and you can achieve
the desired results by simply believing in yourself.

Congratulations on making a decision for positive change in your life and enjoy the journey within.........
